On August 8-10, the delegation of the National Bank of Tajikistan headed by the Chairman of the Bank, Abdujabbor Shirinov is visiting the National Bank of Georgia on the recommendation of the Deutsche Bundesbank. The main purpose of the visit is to see the Cash Center of the National Bank of Georgia and to share the successful experience of the NBG. The Cash Center, which was opened in June 2012, is the only one in the CIS, equipped with the modern safety technologies in compliance with the international standards. 

The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Abdujabbor Shirinov and the members of the delegation visited the Cash Center today. The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Giorgi Kadagidze showed the visitors around the specialized cash center building and talked about its unique capabilities.

“The delegation from Tajikistan is visiting us to learn about the reforms we have carried out in recent years. The most worthy of attention is the Cash Center, where we are now. It is remarkable, that the Deutsche Bundesbank, which is helping Tajikistan, has recommended them Georgia to adopt experience from. This once again proves that we have reached significant success in this direction. I think we will agree on the cooperation with our colleagues from Tajikistan and find the way to help them”- said Governor of the National Bank of Georgia.  

After the meeting with the NBG Governor, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan said: “The reforms implemented by the National Bank of Georgia are impressive and exemplary, they played significant role in the economic development in the country, and in particular, in the development of the banking sector. This is one of the factors why Georgia attracted attention of the former Soviet Union and Central Asia countries. This is my first visit in Georgia. This building made great impression on us. The work being done in the Cash Center of the National Bank of Georgia is on a level with the highest international standards. We are glad to share your experience” – said Abdujabbor Shirinov.

Along with Tajikistan delegation, the Deutsche Bundesbank expert Andreas Diekmann and regional sales director of the German company “Giesecke & Devrient”, Dietmar Reichel are visiting Tbilisi. The working meeting with the representatives of the Cash center of the National Bank of Georgia is planned to be held within the visit. The delegation will also visit Kvareli and the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia.
