Roman Gotsiridze Received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Italian Bank

On October 4 the President of the National Bank of Georgia, Mr. Roman Gotsiridze, received Mr. Antonio Falliko, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Italian bank “Banca Intesa”, who at the same time is the President of the Businessmen Association of Italy.
Antonio Falliko interested in the processes taking place in the banking system of Georgia and noted that Italian business circles have a great wish to cooperate with commercial banks of Georgia.
Mr. Roman Gotsiridze welcomed entering of potential investors in the banking sphere of Georgia and stated that foreign investors’ interest in the banking sector of Georgia had increased greatly.
Mr. Antonio Falliko takes part in the Georgia-Italian business forum that held the second time in Georgia. Besides the banking sector Italian businessmen showed interest mainly in agriculture, tourism, food industry and woodwork and timber industry.
Italian “Banca Intesa” was founded in 1998. The volume of its total capital amounts to around € 275 billion.
