On May 21, 2009, CDs (Certificates of Deposit) at the nominal value of 8 500 000 GEL were sold at the 91-day, National Bank of Georgia Certificate of Deposit Auction #20. The securities were purchased by three (3) commercial banks. The minimum interest rate was 5.90%, the maximum interest rate was 7.00%, and the average weighted interest rate was 6.85%.
