On July 9, 2009, CDs (Certificates of Deposit) at the nominal value of 3 000 000 GEL were sold at the 91-day, National Bank of Georgia Certificate of Deposit Auction #27.  The securities were purchased by two commercial banks. The minimum interest rate was 2.42%, the maximum interest rate was 2.64%, and the average weighted interest rate was 2.43%.
