On August 20, 2009, CDs (Certificates of Deposit) at the nominal value of 15 000 000 GEL were sold at the 91-day, National Bank of Georgia Certificate of Deposit Auction #33.  The securities were purchased by six (6) commercial banks.  The minimum interest rate was 3.75%, the maximum interest rate was 4.80%, and the average weighted interest rate was 4.48%.
