On January  5, 2011, CDs (Certificates of Deposit) at the nominal value of 35 000 000 GEL were sold at the 91-day, National Bank of Georgia Certificate of Deposit Auction #1. The securities were purchased by six  commercial banks. The minimum interest rate was 9.48%, the maximum interest rate was 9.82%, and the average weighted interest rate was 9.77%.
