On October 12, 2011, CDs (Certificates of Deposit) at the nominal value of 10 000 000 GEL were sold at the 84-day, National Bank of Georgia Certificate of Deposit Auction #41. The securities were purchased by three commercial banks. The minimum interest rate was 7.95%, the maximum interest rate was 8.38%, and the average weighted interest rate was 8.21%.
