Papuna Lezhava Evaluates Participants of Montenegro Fintech Hackathon
NBG Vice Governor Papuna Lezhava is on the international jury of the Fintech Hackathon organized by the Central Bank of Montenegro in the city of Podgorica. The event brings together programmers, marketers, designers, startups and other creative companies to share experiences on modern technologies and financial markets.
Varlam Ebanoidze, Head of the Financial and Supervisory Technology Development Department of the National Bank of Georgia, and Vasil Shengelia, Head of the Open Banking Promotion and Credit Data Management Supervision Department, spoke about Georgia's fintech development strategy and digital banking experience at the panel held as part of the event.
"The NBG’s fintech development strategy includes various regulatory initiatives that help eliminate barriers for fintech startups in the financial industry. The NBG also makes sure the benefits of the Open Finance Ecosystem are inclusive for all public groups," said Varlam Ebanoidze.
Papuna Lezhava will identify the winners together with other jury members by the end of the Hackathon. The award ceremony will be held to honor successful participants. Central bankers, representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, ICT Cortex, Mastercard, the Montenegrin banking sector and international fintech companies are on the jury.
