The NBG Innovations Office held a working meeting tackling the second stage of the implementation of the Open Banking Standard. Held in the panel discussion format, the meeting brought together the NBG representatives along with partners from the Bankers Association and FinTech Association.

The NBG and the Georgian Bankers Association started working on the creation of the general banking standards as early as in the first half of 2020.

The NBG highly regards the development of new financial technologies. Open Banking offers significant new opportunities for speedy development of the FinTech ecosystem that are crucial for the development of new technologies and innovative approaches in the financial sector and for setting common standards.
