Global challenges and their impact on the economy of Georgia, response actions and future steps - this is only a short list of issues that the NBG Governor Koba Gvenetadze discussed with the members of the Business Association.

 

At the meeting, the NBG Governor reviewed Georgia’s current economic situation, macroeconomic trends, underlying challenges and the macro-financial policy of the Central Bank. He additionally accentuated inflation as a global challenge and provided the members of the Association with detailed information about the main reasons for the price rise.

 

"As you know, transparency is one of the key priorities of the National Bank of Georgia, which is confirmed by many international organizations. Our actions, within the Bank's mandate, are always focused on the benefit for the society. I regularly hold meetings with representatives of various sectors to explain to them in more detail the consequences of our decisions. I hold scheduled meetings with the members of the Business Association to make sure they have right expectations and understanding of the consequences that the developments in the global economy have on the economy of Georgia", said Koba Gvenetadze.
