With support from the World Bank Treasury's RAMP program, the National Bank of Georgia hosted a delegation from the National Bank of Tajikistan as part of its Educational Space project.

During the working meeting, representatives from the Financial Markets, Centralized Risk Management, Finance and Accounting, Information Technology, and Internal Audit departments of the National Bank of Georgia shared their experience with their Tajik counterparts.

Key topics discussed included asset and reserve management, market and credit risk management, financial reporting and audit systems, as well as frameworks for managing cyber risks.

Aleksandre Khazaradze, Head of the Financial Markets Department, opened the event with welcoming remarks.

“We are pleased to share our experience with other central banks and remain committed to providing technical assistance and consultations to our international colleagues. These jointly organized meetings with our international partners reaffirm the long-standing, growing, and close cooperation between us,” said Khazaradze.

This meeting is part of a series of training events under the NBG’s Educational Space project, organized in collaboration with international partners.

It is worth noting that over the past two years, the National Bank of Georgia has also hosted delegations from the central banks of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan within the same project. In 2024, a seminar on financial programming and policy was held, which included participants from Georgia’s public sector.
