National Bank of Georgia Publishes 2024 Edition of Supervisory Strategy
The National Bank of Georgia is publishing the 2024 edition of its 2023-2025 Supervisory Strategy to enhance transparency regarding its completed and planned activities.
The 2024 edition of the supervisory strategy focuses primarily on the action plan for achieving supervisory priorities, including specific activities and their timelines. It also includes a report on the implementation of the Supervisory Strategy in 2023.
Experience from previous years has shown that the supervisory strategy document serves as an important reference document for both the National Bank and financial sector representatives. It supports effective planning within the National Bank, provides a clear vision for employees, and increases predictability for the sector regarding future initiatives. Moreover, it ensures the accessibility of information on supervisory priorities and plans to investors, international financial institutions, rating agencies, the public, and other stakeholders.
The 2023-2025 Supervisory Strategy document was published last year. It was developed with the active involvement of the private and civil sectors. The document outlines the National Bank's supervisory priorities and the planned activities within these priorities.
