National Bank Of Georgia Is The Second Time Winner Of The Regional Conference For Cyber Security And ICT Development And Was Nominated As The Leader In Three Nominations

On November 6-7, at VII regional conference for cyber security and ICT development – GITI-2014, held at Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel, National Bank of Georgia won three nominations – “most widely applicable electronic service”, which includes substitution of paper-based services with electronic documents created by means of “developed electronic signature” and electronic document circulation. “The most successful infrastructural solution” - within the scope of the project in public sector, federated storage virtualizer was first implemented at the National Bank. It reduced switch time    between data centers to zero; and “best information security management”, within the scope of which, information security management system based on international ISO27001 standard was implemented. In near future the bank plans to get certify according to the standard, and it will be the first ISO27001 certification in Georgia.

Georgian Cyber Security and IT innovation conference is held annually and is organized by the data exchange agency of MOJ and ICT business council. Its aim is to assist social-economic development of the region by means of information technologies.    

The conference was attended by more than 400 representatives from 30 countries. Special attention was paid to the issues of development of e-governance in Georgia as well as in the region, cyber and information security projects, also implementation of technological innovations in these projects.
