National Bank of Georgia Hosts Delegation from the Central Bank of Armenia
The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) hosted a delegation from the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) for a two-day working visit. During the visit, representatives from the NBG’s Financial Stability Department shared their experience with the bank resolution framework and gained insight into the practices currently in place at the Central Bank of Armenia.
Such collaborative meetings are valuable for both institutions, fostering the development and implementation of effective resolution frameworks. They also promote mutual learning and help strengthen regional cooperation in the area of financial stability.
In parallel, specialists from the NBG’s Supervisory Policy Department held discussions with their Armenian counterparts on the corporate governance regulatory framework developed by the NBG, along with associated supervisory practices. This exchange took place within the framework of a mission by the International Monetary Fund’s Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia (CCAMTAC).
These engagements mark an important step toward deepening the partnership between the two central banks and will support the advancement of robust supervisory and resolution mechanisms on both sides.
