National Bank of Georgia Announced Competition for the Best Design of 200 Lari Denomination Banknote

The National Bank of Georgia announced a competition for revealing the best design of 200 Lari denomination banknote, in which Georgian as well as foreign designers can take part. Individuals interested to participate in the competition are to submit their works to the National Bank of Georgia up to September 20, 2005. The obverse of 200 Lari denomination banknote is to depict the portrait of public figure Niko Nikoladze and on the reverse - view of the town of Sokhumi should be featured.   By the decision of the Committee of the National Bank of Georgia established specially for managing the banknote producing activity from all submitted designs only three of them will be selected. The winners for the best design will be given a bonus.   The designers are free in their imagination for depicting the portrait of Niko Nikoladze as well as Sukhumi view, though the National Bank of Georgia in its turn will officially publish material depicting photos of Niko Nikoladze and the view of the town of Sukhumi, it is desirable the Georgian and forein participants search for other photos in making their design.
