Mr. David Amaglobeli, the Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia and Ms. Manana Sanadze, the Rector of the University of Georgia signed the agreement of cooperation, which envisages a stable and long-term partnership between the two mentioned institutions.

According to this agreement, the National Bank of Georgia and the University of Georgia will take joint measures to facilitate the development of modern economic education and knowledge in Georgia. Besides the above-mentioned, agreement envisages the cooperation in arranging academic and professional meetings as well as organizing conferences and seminars.

According to Mr. Amaglobeli, the Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia: "NBG closely cooperates with leading higher educational establishments of economic and business profile. Memorandum between NBG and the University of Georgia signed today is a good proof for that. Within the framework of the mentioned memorandum, leading specialists of the National Bank of Georgia will assist the students of the University of Georgia in carrying out their independent research. Students will have the possibility of using the NBG database and library. With our joint efforts we can popularize the development of economic knowledge and deepen economic research in Georgia".
