Natia Turnava Participates in 105th Anniversary Celebration of National Statistics Service

Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, attended the event marking the 105th anniversary of the National Statistics Service, known as GeoStat. In her speech, Turnava congratulated GeoStat on behalf of the National Bank of Georgia, emphasizing the organization's adherence to international standards, its commitment to transparency, and its professionalism, all of which have established it as a leader in the field of statistics

Turnava highlighted the high reliability and accuracy of the data produced and published by GeoStat, noting its critical importance for making data-based, informed decisions

"As part of Georgia's official statistics system, the National Bank of Georgia is proud to be an important partner of GeoStat. Our duty is to produce and share economic and financial data, both nationally and internationally. The close cooperation between GeoSstat and the National Bank of Georgia ensures high quality and consistency in the production of statistical data," Turnava stated.

The event also featured addresses from Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, and Executive Director of GeoStat Gogita Todradze.
