Natia Turnava Attends Opening Session of IMF and World Bank Constituency Meeting

Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, together with Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, attended the official opening session of the constituency meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), held in Luxembourg.

As part of the IMF and World Bank constituency events, a panel discussion titled “The Role of Central Banks in the Green Economy” will be held, with Natia Turnava serving as moderator.

The keynote address will be delivered by Frank Elderson, member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank. The discussion will focus on sustainable finance, climate change, and the critical role of central banks in these areas.

The IMF and World Bank constituency meeting (OEDNE/EDS19) serves as an important platform where leading economic policymakers, heads of financial institutions, and experts convene to discuss today’s global challenges and explore potential solutions.

This year’s annual meeting in Luxembourg stood out for its dynamic engagement from experts, policymakers, and other key stakeholders.
