Mr. Roman Gotsiridze will Pay an Official Visit to Poland

The President of the National Bank of Georgia, Mr. Roman Gotsiridze, will pay an official visit to Poland on August 1-5, 2005. The Presidents of the National Banks of Georgia and Poland first met at the annual  Meeting of the Central Bank   Governers’ Club of the Middle Asia, Balkan and Black Sea basin countries in Saint-Petersburg   on May 27-28, where the President of the Central Bank of Poland, Mr. Leszec Balcerowicz invited Mr. Roman Gotsiridze to Poland.   Within the framework of the visit several meetings are scheduled to be arranged at the National Bank of Poland and at the seminar organized by the National Bank of Poland the President of the National Bank of Georgia will deliver a report  on the “Economic Developments and Prospects” following the “Rose Revolution”. The seminar which will be opened by Mr. Balcerowicz, the President of the National Bank of Poland, will be attended by the top officials of the National Bank of Poland, governors of commercial banks, scientists and business and press representatives.   “It is very important for us to visit  Poland, the country where the reforms have been pursued successfully, especially  to familiarize ourselves with the areas which are of great significance for developing the National Bank of Georgia”, said Mr. R. Gotsitidze.   The agenda of the visit provides for meeting of the President of the National Bank of Georgia with the representatives of the Polish business circles in Warsaw and Krakow.
