In September 2012, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 115.0 million USD (190.3 million GEL), which is 0.9 million USD (1.5 million GEL), or 0.8 percent more than the same amount for September 2011.

 

92.8 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 12 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in September. In September 2011 the share of these 12 countries constituted 92.8 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In September 2012, 9.0 million USD (or 14.9 million GEL) were transferred from Georgia instead of 8.3 million USD (or 13.8 million GEL) in September 2011.
