In September 2018, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 131.3 million USD (342.7 million GEL), which is 5.6 percent (6.9 million USD) more than the amount in September 2017.

 

 

92.9 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 16 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in September 2018. In September 2017 the share of these 16 countries constituted 93.0 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In September 2018, 19.2 million USD (or 50.2 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 19.0 million USD (or 46.8 million GEL) in September 2017.
