Money Transfers in October
In October 2010 the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 86.8 million USD, which is 6.1 million USD or 7.5 percent more than the same amount for October 2009. During this period the volume of remittances grew for Russia (by 5.5 million), Turkey (by 1.6 million), Italy (by 1.0 million), as well as for several other countries.
90.6 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 9 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in October. In October 2009 the share of these 9 countries constituted 89.4 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In October 2010 8.2 million USD were transferred from Georgia, instead of 6.5 million USD in October 2009.
