In October 2012, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 113.9 million USD (189.0 million GEL), which is 4.9 million USD (13.4 million GEL), or 4.5 percent more than the same amount for October 2011.

92.3 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 12 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in October. In October 2011 the share of these 12 countries constituted 92.1 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In October 2012, 11.0 million USD (or 18.2 million GEL) were transferred from Georgia instead of 9.2 million USD (or 15.2 million GEL) in October 2011.
