In October 2014, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 123.9 million USD (217.3 million GEL), which is 8.7 million USD (15.2 million GEL), or 6.5 percent less than the amount in October 2013. 





91.2 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 11 big donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1.5 million USD in October 2014. In October 2013 the share of these 11 countries constituted 92.4 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In October 2014, 17.0 million USD (or 29.9 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 14.9 million USD (or 24.9 million GEL) in October 2013.
