Money Transfers in March
In March 2010 the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 81.8 million USD, which is 21.2 million USD or 35.0 percent more than the same amount for March 2009. During this period the volume of remittances significantly grew for Russia (by 13.1 million), Greece (by 2.2 million) and Ukraine (by 1.6 million), as well as for several other countries.
90.0 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those eight big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in March. In March 2009 the share of these 8 countries constituted 89.1 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In March 2010 7.1 million USD were transferred from Georgia, instead of 6.5 million USD in March 2009.
