Money Transfers in May
In May 2014, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 126.4 million USD (223.0 million GEL), which is 11.7 million USD (20.6 million GEL), or 10.2 percent more than the amount in May 2013.
90.5 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 9 big donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1.5 million USD in May 2014. In May 2013 the share of these 9 countries constituted 90.2 percent of the total volume of money transfers.
