In May 2015, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 97.7 million USD (227.0 million GEL), which is 28.7 million USD (66.7 million GEL), or 22.7 percent less than the amount in May 2014.

92.0 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 12 big donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in May 2015. In May 2014 the share of these 12 countries constituted 93.6 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In May 2015, 13.3 million USD (or 30.9 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 14.5 million USD (or 25.5 million GEL) in May 2014.
