In January 2013, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 94.1 million USD (156.1 million GEL), which is 9.7 million USD (16.2 million GEL), or 11.5 percent more than the same amount for January 2012.



93.2 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 11 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in January. In January 2012 the share of these 11 countries constituted 91.4 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In January 2013, 9.5 million USD (or 15.7 million GEL) were transferred from Georgia instead of 6.9 million USD (or 11.5 million GEL) in January 2012.
