Money Transfers in June

In June 2010 the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 74.3 million USD, which is 2.4 million USD or 3.3 percent more than the same amount for June 2009. During this period the volume of remittances significantly grew for Russia (by 4.6 million), Turkey (by 0.5 million), Germany (by 0.4 million), Israel (by 0.3 million) as well as for several other countries.

91.4 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those nine big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in June. In June 2009 the share of these 9 countries constituted 89.8 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In June 2010 6.7 million USD were transferred from Georgia, instead of 6.1 million USD in June 2009.
