
Money Transfers in June
In June 2011, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 98.9 million USD, which is 22.1 million USD or 28.7 percent more than the same amount for June 2010. During this period, the volume of remittances grew from Russia (by 8.8 million), Kazakhstan (by 4.8 million), Greece (by 3.3 million), Italy (by 3.0 million), as well as for several other countries.
91.4 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 10 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in June. In June 2010 the share of these 10 countries constituted 92.3 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In June 2011, 7.1 million USD were transferred from Georgia, instead of 7.1 million USD in June 2010.
