In July 2012, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 117.1 million USD (or 193.6 million GEL), which is 4.5 million USD (or 7.5 million GEL), or 4.0 percent more than the same amount for July 2011.

 

92.4 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 13 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in July. In July 2011 the share of these 13 countries constituted 93.7 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In July 2012, 8.8 million USD (or 14.6 million GEL) were transferred from Georgia instead of 7.7 million USD (or 12.9 million GEL) in July 2011.
