Money Transfers in February
In February 2012, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 96.3 million USD (or 159.7 million GEL), which is 13.3 million USD (or 22.1 million GEL), or 16.8 percent more than the same amount for February 2011.
91.0 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 10 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in February. In February 2011 the share of these 10 countries constituted 90.4 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In February 2012, 7.5 million USD (or 12.5 million GEL) were transferred from Georgia instead of 9.6 million USD (or 17.1 million GEL) in February 2011.
