In December 2012, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 134.2 million USD (222.7 million GEL), which is 9.3 million USD (15.4 million GEL), or 7.4 percent more than the same amount for December 2011. 
 


94.7 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 12 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in December. In December 2011 the share of these 12 countries constituted 91.2 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In December 2012, 11.9 million USD (or 19.8 million GEL) were transferred from Georgia instead of 9.2 million USD (or 15.3 million GEL) in December 2011.
