Money Transfers in December
In December 2013, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 153.5 million USD (263.0 million GEL), which is 19.4 million USD (40.3 million GEL), or 14.4 percent more than the amount in December 2012.
94.4 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 13 big donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in December 2013. In December 2012 the share of these 13 countries constituted 95.4 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In December 2013, 15.3 million USD (or 26.2 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 11.3 million USD (or 19.6 million GEL) in December 2012.
