In December 2016, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 119.0 million USD (315.4 million GEL), which is 16.7 percent (17.0 million USD) more than the amount in December 2015.

 


 

 

92.6 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 14 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in December 2016. In December 2015 the share of these 14 countries constituted 92.8 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In December 2016, 18.2 million USD (or 48.3 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 17.8 million USD (or 42.6 million GEL) in December 2015.
