In December 2017, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 138.4 million USD (361.5 million GEL), which is 16.3 percent (19.4 million USD) more than the amount in December 2016.


92.4 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 14 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in December 2017. In December 2016 the share of these 14 countries constituted 92.4 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In December 2017, 19.8 million USD (or 51.8 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 18.2 million USD (or 48.3 million GEL) in December 2016.
