In August 2017, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 121.8 million USD (291.9 million GEL), which is 15.1 percent (16.0 million USD) more than the amount in August 2016.

 

 

 
 

92.5 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 14 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in August 2017. In August 2016 the share of these 14 countries constituted 93.0 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In August 2017, 19.4 million USD (or 46.5 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 17.3 million USD (or 40.2 million GEL) in August 2016.
