Money Transfers in April
In April 2012, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 112.6 million USD (or 184.3 million GEL), which is 6.8 million USD (or 8.1 million GEL), or 6.4 percent more than the same amount for April 2011.
92.3 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 11 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in April. In April 2011 the share of these 11 countries constituted 89.2 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In April 2012, 8.0 million USD (or 13.0 million GEL) were transferred from Georgia instead of 7.2 million USD (or 12.0 million GEL) in April 2011.
