Money Transfers in April
In April 2011 the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 90.1 million USD, which is 15.4 million USD or 20.6 percent more than the same amount for April 2010. During this period, the volume of remittances grew from Russia (by 6.8 million), Kazakhstan (by 3.1 million), Italy (by 2.5 million), as well as for several other countries.
90.5 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 10 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in April. In April 2010 the share of these 10 countries constituted 91.8 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In April 2011 6.1 million USD were transferred from Georgia, instead of 6.5 million USD in April 2010.
