The money museum of the National Bank of Georgia is included in Tbilisi Museum Guide. The guide was published by the Georgian Museum Association and the Ministry of Culture, Monument Protection and Sports.There are around 250 museums in Georgia today. The guide so far features 60 certified museums. The money museum of the National Bank of Georgia was opened in April of 2004. Around 2000 visitors saw the exhibits. The museum describes the long and eventful history of money circulation since the 6th century B.C, as well as the specimens of the currencies of various countries. The Tbilisi Museum guide is bilingual (Georgian/English) and will help the interested Georgian citizens and visitors to search for the museums to visit.
