The National Bank of Georgia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the professional association Union of Accountants.

The agreement was signed by Natia Turnava, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, and Tatiana Beridze, Director of the Union of Accountants.

According to Natia Turnava, the NBG remains committed to fostering an inclusive environment both within the institution and under its supervisory mandate.

"The National Bank continues to take strategic steps and develop regulations that support the professional empowerment of women. I believe this memorandum will accelerate the creation of a more diverse and equitable financial sector while helping to remove existing barriers and open new opportunities for female leaders," said the NBG Governor.

The agreement aims to enhance the professional qualifications of the Union of Accountants’ members in areas regulated by the NBG. It outlines plans for joint initiatives, including workshops, conferences, and symposiums, to raise awareness and promote knowledge sharing.

The Union of Accountants actively supports the professional development of accountants through education and training programs, with a strong focus on empowering women in the financial sector.
