Leszek Balcerowicz the President of the National Bank of Poland Arrived in Georgia

By invitation of Roman Gotsiridze, the President of the National Bank of Georgia, Leszek Balcerowicz, the President of the National Bank of Poland Arrived in Georgia on November 15.   Within the framework of this visit Leszek Balcerowicz will meet Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, Nino Burjanadze, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Zurab Nogaideli, the Prime Minister of Georgia and Roman Gotsiridze, the President of the National Bank of Georgia.   At the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia, presentation of Mr. Balcerowicz’s book “Toward a Limited State“ will be held. At the conference hall of the “Tbilisi-Marriott” hotel the seminar will be conducted, where the President of the National Bank of Poland will give a keynote speech “Lessons of catching-up”. Participant of this seminar will get acquainted with Mr. Balcerowicz’s article “Wealth of Nations” published in the Wall Street Journal .   In the context of this visit it is also planned to organize a seminar at Borjomi government residence. Mr. Balcerowicz will give a report on the “Lessons of postcommunist transition “ at the mentioned seminar. The representatives of the institutions of local governing bodies as well as the representatives of business structures will attend the seminar. Leszek Balcerowicz will get acquainted with the infrastructure of Borjomi as a health-resort and the prospects of its future development.
