With the active support of Microsoft office in Georgia Lari sign is now available in Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10.

The respective Unicode character holds the code 20BE in Unicode tables and can be used within Windows OS by using using combination Shift+L in the Georgian keyboard layout (KA).

The relevant update for Windows 7, 8 and 10  (KB 3102429) can be found at  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3102429#bookmark-hotkey

Since 2014 Georgian currency Lari has its sign. The concept of Lari sign  is based on graphic letter "Las" (L) of the Georgian "Mkhedruli" alphabet.  Adding two vertical parallel lines to the arc of a "simplified" one-arched "Lasi"- results in a stylized image of a "full" three-arched letter "Las".

In order to ensure correct adopting of Lari sign, the National Bank of Georgia developed the  "Lari Sign Implementation Principles and Supplementary Manual". At the same time the National Bank of Georgia developed a special "Lari Symbol" font, which contains more than 50 symbols stylized after different fonts. You can find and download them from the official webpage of the National Bank of Georgia: http://www.lari.gov.ge/
