Koba Gvenetadze Meets with the EIB Regional Representative

The economic consequences and challenges posed by the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine were tackled today as Koba Gvenetadze, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, and Maciej Czura, Regional Representative of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the South Caucasus met at the NBG headquarters.

 

The NBG Governor briefed the EIB Regional Representative on the approaches of the NBG and the Georgian financial sector with regards to international sanctions.

 

The meeting also covered the adverse effects of the pandemic and ways to overcome it. Koba Gvenetadze spoke in detail about the special actions taken by the National Bank during this period, resulting in the Georgian financial system successfully coping with the difficulties.

 

At the end of the meeting, Koba Gvenetadze spoke in detail about the projects implemented by the EIB in Georgia and stressed the importance of cooperation with the organization.
