Koba Gvenetadze Earns Global Finance’s 2022 Best Central Banker Award
The Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington DC included the Global Finance Best Central Bankers awards ceremony. Global Finance, the leading international publication, named Koba Gvenetadze, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, among the world’s best Central Bank leaders for the fifth time in a row.

The Central Banker Report Cards 2022 rate 96 central bankers, including EU Central Bank Governors, and only 21 Governors earned the highest grades. Along with Koba Gvenetadze, the best Central Bank Governors named by Global Finance include the leaders of central banks of Sweden, New Zealand, Brazil, China, Israel and other developed and developing countries.
The Global Finance award is widely recognized in the international financial community and indicates the high reputation and successful performance of the awardees and banks. The assessment of Central Bank leaders is based on several central bank policy areas.
