International Investment Position of Georgia

The net international investment position (IIP) of Georgia amounted to USD -32.1 billion (GEL -86.7 billion) as of March 31, 2026, accounting for -81.3 percent of the last four quarters’ GDP (the same item for December 31, 2025, accounted - 84.5 percent). Net IIP improved by USD 142.4 million compared to the previous quarter.

International assets totaled USD 20.5 billion (GEL 55.5 billion) as of March 31, 2026, increasing by USD 529.5 million compared to the previous quarter.

International liabilities increased by USD 387.1 million during the Quarter, reaching USD 52.6 billion (GEL 142.1 billion).
