International Investment Position of Georgia

The net international investment position (IIP) of Georgia amounted to USD -32.3 billion (GEL -87.4 billion) as of September 30, 2025, accounting for -87.7 percent of GDP for the last four quarters (compared to -92.1 percent as of June 30, 2025). Net IIP improved by USD 648.6 million compared to the previous quarter.


International assets totaled USD 19.9 billion (GEL 53.9 billion) as of September 30, 2025, increasing by USD 1.8 billion compared to the previous quarter.


International liabilities increased by USD 1.1 billion during the quarter, reaching USD 52.2 billion (GEL 141.4 billion).
