International Investment Position of Georgia
The net international investment position (IIP) of Georgia amounted to -31.5 billion USD (-87.0 billion GEL) for March 31 2025, accounting for -91.7 percent of the last four quarters’ GDP (the same item for December 31 2024 accounted -89.0 percent). Net IIP decreased by 1.4 billion USD compared to the previous quarter.
International assets totaled 17.2 billion USD (47.6 billion GEL) by March 31 2025, decreased by 162.8 million USD compared to the previous quarter.
Liabilities increased by 1.3 billion USD during the quarter totaling 48.7 billion USD (134.7 billion GEL).
