Governor of the National Bank Hosts the the International Youth Day Competition Finalists

Koba Gvenetadze, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia was pleased to welcome the finalists of the International Youth Day Competition today. The participants were asked to submit innovative projects to increase the awareness of financial education among young people. Governor Gvenetadze thanked the finalists for their participation and activity in the competition and handed over memorable prizes and certificates.

 

The International Youth Day Competition was initiated by the National Bank and FinEdu, the Financial Education Portal and supported by 4 representatives of the financial sector. The winners of the competition were revealed during an online meeting by a jury composed of representatives of partner institutions.

 

The authors of the 3 successful projects: Shmagi Burduli, Beka Burduli, Luka Zedashidze and Nini Bochorishvili were rewarded with a GEL 1000 voucher from partner institutions - JSC Swiss Capital Microfinance Institution, JSC Credo Bank and JSC Eurocredit Microfinance Institution, and with a Yes Georgia Young Entrepreneur School voucher from the Crystal, the Financial Inclusion Organization.

 

August 12 was declared International Youth Day by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999. This day is dedicated to discussing the problems, ideas and initiatives of young people around the world.
