Governor Gvenetadze Participates in the Conference under the Three Seas Initiative

The challenges of monetary policy, the post-pandemic reality, and the economic consequences of Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine were discussed at a Central Bank conference hosted by the National Bank of Poland under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

 

Koba Gvenetadze, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, was invited to the event held under this initiative for the first time this year. The NBG Governor was joined by the Governors of the Central Banks of Ukraine and Moldova, who also took part in the conference.

 

The conference was attended by central bankers and high-rank representatives of the Three Seas Initiative member states.

 

The Three Seas Initiative brings together 12 EU member states - Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. The Initiative, launched by Croatia and Poland in 2015, is missioned to strengthen physical and digital connections between the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas.
